My Life-Final Project

3. I used a really upbeat song, then a rap song, and a slower pace song. I used 'Animal' by Neon Trees, 'Gangster's Paradise' by Coolio, and 'So Small' by Carrie Underwood. I chose these songs because I wanted a song with a good beat at the beginning, 'Gangster's Paradise' was the number one song from 1995, and 'So Small' had a really good meaning I thought and it fit well.

4. I searched for: Billboard Hits from 1995; Academy Awards 1995; Prices in 1995. I mostly used used Google, but I used Ask once. I didn't really find any unreliable source, but just contradicting information.

5. I used iMovie, iPhoto, iTunes, Safari, Photobooth, Preview, and Powerpoint.

6. I think I did a really nice job with the timing of this project. Precision Editor in iMovie really helped me.

7. I struggled with how to display some of the information like the news articles, but after experimenting I found something that I could settle on.

8. I used very little slides. I used slides in the beginning and middle to make things come in one by one. Mostly for this project I used the text provided by iMovie. Certain parts of my project were consistent. For example, how each theme changed was always the same text format with the same background.

9. The video I used showed who was the winner of the 1994-95 NBA Championship.

10. I could use this project if I ever need a video to show different types of information in one place.

11. I transformed the music I used because I used fade away, and the images were edited with text. The Law says that I can use them because they are for educational purposes and not for profit.

12. I think I would do a project like this on my own. I thought that it was really interesting to see what was going on in the world when you were born. I was so little so I don't remember any of it, so to see what was going on at the time was really informative.

iMovie Music Blog Post

  1. I chose Boy Bands. I chose it because growing up, I really liked boy bands. The first CD I bought and the first concert I went to were both Boy Bands.
  2. While looking for my information I would go to Google, and look for the Backstreet Boys. While looking for information, the names of Backstreet Boys songs would pop up, and these are the ones that I used in my iMovie.
  3. For this project I used the Internet, Powerpoint, Screen Shot, Drag and Drop, Itunes, Garageband, and different features available on iMovie.
  4. I think I did a good job coordinating the slides with the music.
  5. I struggled with using iMovie because I am not very familiar with it. But as I played with iMovie more, I learned more about iMovie.
  6. I used still slides in this iMovie.
  7. This kind of project can be used when there is a speech. The speech could be in the background and at the same time some images or information can be played at the same time.
  8. This project used the law because the music and graphics were used for educational purposes and not for profit.
  9. I would definitely do this one. The final product turned out very well and was not boring to watch with the music in the background.

iMovie Blog

1. Our topic was the House System.

2. My role was to organize all the information. I separated all the usable information from the not so usable information.

3. I learned in this project that having fun and including your friends in a video isn't always the best way to get things done.

4. As a team we worked together pretty well. When someone asked for another person to do something for them, we would do it as soon as we could.

5. We didn't always work. We often got sidetracked, and the last few days we had to work extra hard compared to the other groups. We also would start associating with other groups which became a problem.

6. While we were doing the storyboard, the focus was just finding a way to write our ideas down. While we were getting video footage, we focused on getting information that could be used for our project. While we were putting all the information together, some of the videos we had thought about using we had to cut out.

7. This project taught me how to send videos to other people by e-mail.

8. I could use iMovie to make movies for other classes. iMovie can help me bring in a whole group of different videos into one movie.

9. We did not use any information from the Internet for this project. For other groups though, this law allowed them to use their material for educational purposes.

10. I think I would do a project like this. Maybe if I have some fun videos of family/friends than I could put them all together into one iMovie project.

Garageband Blog Post

1. I used drag and drop to put in my pictures. Then, I used the sound effects provided in garageband, but I also put in a song from Itunes. I put the song in through garageband rather than dragging it in from Itunes.

2. I could use this in Literature class to discuss a book. This could also be used in World Studies to show different times in history.

3. You could use podcasts to tell about different events that are happening around town, which could be good publicity.

4. This project made me good at finding the perfect timing for the sounds and pictures.

5. For me the most difficult part was trying to incorporate all 5 of the sounds while still making sure that you could be clearly heard.

6. I would do a project like this. I think that podcasts are a very convenient way to learn other peoples opinions about different things, and they are a lot more lively than just reading a comment.

Storyboard Blog

1. The topic we chose was the House System. We chose it because we thought that it was a topic that incoming freshmen would be interested to learn about.

2. In the storyboard, we drew most of them on the computer, but we had two pictures that we used from the PND newsletter. We used them since we thought they portrayed the point we were trying to make well.

3. We used Google Docs to write all our ideas for the storyboard on. Whenever one of us had an idea we could add it on the doc since we could all collaborate on it.

4. The storyboard gave us a visual of how we wanted the movie to look, and how what we wanted to incorporate into the movie. The storyboard also helped us with how we wanted the order of the videos.

iPhoto Project

1. For the letters I searched 'letter __.' The rest of my pictures were mostly off my mac.

2. I learned how to make a slideshow using iPhoto. I also learned how to edit pictures using iPhoto.

3. I can use the skills I learned to make a video of my personal pictures. When I go on a vacation I can put them in iPhoto and edit some of the pictures and include music.

4. I prefered thie project rather than the other 2. I feel more independant with the project, but there were still directions that helped me along the project.

M&M Project

1. My spreadsheet found the sum and average of the M&Ms.
2. I used my skills in Excel such as using the formula bar.
3. I could use this if I am doing a survey. Each answer can be put in a different cell.
